Our mission is to send English language books to augment, and in some case initiate, libraries in schools in Romania to help the children build an expanded base from which to build their English language skills.
We work mostly through individual members of the Peace Corps.

books for Sibiu
We received a rather large contribution for the benefit of a grade school in Sibiu. Today I sent off 4 boxes (106 pounds) of books.
The primary project is the ongoing support of American TEFL teachers in Romania. Since the beginning of 2004 we have sent over 12,000 books to scores of sites throughout the country. E-mails from the teachers can be found on our web site. This project continues, even as we have initiated a major secondary project.
Our secondary project began in earnest in January 2007 when we began to accumulate books to fill a 20 foot container with approximately 20,000 books that will be divided amongst 10-12 public libraries under the supervision of Biblioteca Judeteana "Duiliu Zamfirescu" Focsani.
